What type of project are we?

Started in September 2016, we are registered as a Self-help Group/Project with Kenya’s Ministry of Labour, Social, Security and Services. We are a non-profit organisation.

How did we get our name?

When prayerfully considering a name for our project, God brought us the following verse from Micah in the bible: “Act justly, love mercy, walk humbly with your God” (Micah 6:8). It is with these words that we go out each day to serve our community.

Where do we get our funds?

It costs Ksh80 (£0.60) to feed 1 child for a month.

How do I donate?

A donation can be made into our project bank account by simply

What do we do with our funds?

All money is used to:

  • buy supplies (maize, millet, sugar, milk, soap)
  • pay 4 employees salaries
  • pay for water to be pumped if we don’t have enough supply in our rainwater tank
  • any maintenance on the kitchen building.

What resources do we need?

Maize, millet, sugar, milk, firewood, soap, matches, dish towels, plastic mugs, jugs and basins.

Which children do we feed?

We serve porridge to 1200 children every school morning. These children attend the local village primary school, many of whom would go without food for the day.
