What is the Micah Project

The Micah Project is a charity that was set-up in 2016 to serve a meal a day to the children in Sulgwita Primary School Turi. The project employs 4 brilliant women who serve hot porridge (uji moto) every weekday morning to over 1,200 children.

We’ve seen some great results from ensuring that every child has the chance to have a meal in the morning, in particular:

  • Increased concentration
  • Increased attendance
  • Better relations with community
  • Higher exam results

Join us on the journey.

Our vision is to ensure that every child in Turi has the opportunity to have a meal before school. The Micah Project is a charity, run on donations so that we can buy ingredients for the porridge (uji) and support our team. We would love for you to join us on our journey by subscribing to our termly emails so that we can share our progress along the way. If you’re interested, please click the button below.
